Medical schools established by churches in other countries according to the Western medical education model. In 1937, the Anti-Japanese War broke out. Central University, Yanjing University, Qilu University, Jinling University, and Jinling Women’s College of Arts and Sciences moved to Chengdu and jointly run schools and medicines with West China Union University. The grand occasion is unprecedented. In 1938, China University, Chinese University, and Qi University with medical schools established the United Hospital; in 1946, the West China Union University Hospital was completed on the current site, referred to as West China Hospital.
