The Union Hospital, Affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, was founded in 1866. It is the oldest large-scale comprehensive teaching hospital directly managed by the National Health Commission that integrates medical treatment, teaching, and scientific research in Wuhan. It is an emergency hospital in Hubei Province. The center, the affiliated unit of the Hubei Province Telemedicine Center, is the first batch of national first-class tertiary hospitals and the national top 100 hospitals. It has won national honors such as the National Hospital Management Year Advanced Collective, the National May 1st Labor Award and the National Civilized Unit.
The hospital consists of the headquarters, the western hospital area, the cancer center and the Jinyinhu International Hospital (under construction).
