Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University was built in 1956 and is located on the shore of East Lake in Wuchang, adjacent to Chuhe Han Street in Wuhan Central Cultural District. 3300 beds are prepared. The hospital has a gathering of well-known doctors, with more than 500 senior professional titles, 59 doctoral tutors, 204 master tutors, 22 received special government allowances from the State Council, 8 were selected as the first leading medical talents in Hubei Province, and 4 were selected as Luojia Outstanding Talents of Wuhan University scholar.
It has international advanced dual-source CT, 3.0 nuclear magnetic resonance, ECT, new high-energy medical linear accelerator with multi-leaf grating, digital angiography (DSA), dual-plate DR, PET-CT, TOMO and other high-end medical equipment.
The hospital has a complete range of disciplines, with 46 clinical medical technical departments, 17 teaching and research departments, and 1 laboratory department. In recent years, the hospital has undertaken more than 1,000 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, including national 973 and 863 projects, public health industry special projects, major science and technology projects, key/general/youth projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and various provincial and municipal projects.
