Shanghai First People's Hospital

 Shanghai First People's Hospital (Shanghai General Hospital) was founded on March 1, 1864. It is one of the earliest comprehensive century-old hospitals in the country. In 1877, it was renamed Gongji Hospital. In 1981, it was listed as Shanghai Red Cross Hospital. In 1992, it became the first batch of tertiary A general hospitals in the country. In 2002, it was crowned as the First People's Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University. In 2006, it actively promoted the equalization of high-quality medical resources and took the lead in setting up a branch in Songjiang District, creating a new pattern of hospital development.
