Renji Hospital was built in 1844 and was the first western medicine hospital after the opening of Shanghai. The hospital currently consists of four campuses, east, west, south and north, and the Shanghai Cancer Research Institute. It is a comprehensive tertiary A hospital with a complete range of disciplines, integrating medical treatment, teaching, and scientific research. The East Hospital is located in the Pudong Lujiazui Financial and Trade Zone.
